Angie Leete joined UIU as an assistant athletic trainer and instructor in HPER in August of 2004 before being named Program Director and Assistant Professor of Athletic Training in February 2006. Leete received her undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Iowa State University in 2002. During her time with the Cyclones, she served as student athletic trainer for football, women's gymnastics and softball. She is currently pursing a Masters of Science Degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation at Emporia State University, in Emporia, Kan.
Before coming to UIU, Leete was an assistant athletic trainer and assistant softball coach at Wartburg College, in Waverly, Iowa. While with the Knights, Leete assisted the softball team in their first D-III College World Series berth, where the team placed 5th.

Matt Rueckert was named Head Athletic Trainer in July 2007. Prior to his acceptance of his current position, Rueckert was an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Upper Iowa University for four years. Currently Rueckert is in charge of coverage for the Baseball, Wrestling, Men's and Women's Golf teams, and assists with Football coverage. He is also an instructor in the HPER department teaching classes in the Athletic Training Education Program.
Before arriving at Upper Iowa, Rueckert was a graduate assistant at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina were he received his Master's Degree in Health and Exercise Science. While at Furman, Rueckert served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Paladin Volleyball, Baseball, Men's and Women's Tennis teams.
Rueckert is originally from Columbus Junction, Iowa and is a 2001 graduate of Upper Iowa University with a B.S. in Athletic Training. In the summer of 2006, Matt was hired to work for ReelSports Solutions Inc. as the athletic trainer for the movie "the Final Season".

Evan Bartusek joined the UIU staff as an assistant athletic trainer and instructor in the HPER department in July of 2007. Bartusek's sport coverage responsibilities include Football and Men's Basketball. Prior to joining Upper Iowa, Evan was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Minnesota State University, Mankato. While at MSU, Evan worked with the Maverick football team and was also an Approved Clinical Instructor in the undergraduate athletic training education program.
Bartusek received his Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training in 2005 from Iowa State University. During his time at Iowa State, Bartusek served as an athletic training student with the Cyclone football team and with Drake University. In 2004, Bartusek worked with the New York Giants as a training camp intern.
Bartusek is originally from Hanlontown, Iowa and currently resides in Monona with his wife Jenn.

Mary Joos was named Assistant Athletic Trainer and Instructor in the HPER Department at Upper Iowa University in July 2007. Joos is a 2005 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a B.A in Exercise and Sports Science - Athletic Training.
Joos received her Masters of Science in Education Degree in Athletic Training in 2007 from Old Dominion University, in Norfolk, Va, While at Old Dominion, Joos served as the graduate assistant Athletic Trainer for the men's soccer, baseball, women's field hockey, and women's basketball teams.
Joos is originally from Waconia, Mn.
