Wayne, Neb. - The NSIC Office announced that the 2008 NSIC Baseball Tournament will be postponed on Saturday due to rain and be shortened to a single elimination tournament, which matches Concordia-St. Paul vs. Wayne State (the two undefeated team in the tournament) in the championship game on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The winner of tomorrow's championship game will earn the automatic bid to the NCAA Regional Tournament next week.

Upper Iowa and Bemidji State, which already have one loss, have been eliminated from the tournament.

The Peacocks now have to wait and see if their #6 ranking in the region is strong enough to hold off #7 ranked Concordia-St. Paul. The regional participants and bracket will be released Sunday evening by the NCAA.
