Senior Tailback Collects Another Post-Season Award

T.C. Hicks, a senior from Immokalee, Florida has earned another post-season honor for his play on the football field this past fall. Hicks has been named to the 2007 NCAA Division II All-Northwest Region's third team as a tailback by Don Hansen's Football Gazette.

Hicks rewrote the record books this season as he became the program's new career leader in rushing with 3,212 yards in his four year career. The senior also finished with 25 career touchdowns which is good for fourth all-time in UIU's history. Hicks rushed for 1,370 yards and 9 touchdowns on 217 carries for a 6.3 yard per carry average this season. His long run of the season was 76 yards while he averaged 124.5 yards per game.

The Immokalee, Florida-native finished second in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in rushing yards (1,094 in 9 NSIC games) and fourth in all-purpose yards/game (127.4). This marks the second time that Hicks has made the NSIC All-Conference First Team. The Peacocks finished the season with a 3-8 mark, including a 2-7 record in NSIC games.

Upper Iowa University, located in Fayette, is an NCAA Division II institution and a member of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
