Concordia Triangular Final Results
The Peacock men's golf team rounded out their regular season this past Wednesday, Apr. 23, as they traveled to Rochester, Minnesota to compete in the Concordia Triangular hosted by Concordia-St. Paul. Upper Iowa finished second out of the three competing squads, firing a 321 as a team. UIU finished just five strokes behind tournament champion, Winona State. Junior Matt Dalhke finished the tournament tied for for the low score of the day, carding a 75 (35-40) for the tournament. Adam Winans collected a fourth-place finish for Upper Iowa as he fired a 79 (39-40) for his round. Freshman Tucker Bayler shot an 83 (44-39) to finish 12th for the tournament. While juniors Josh Wells and Craig Signorin tied for 13th place finishes, both shooting rounds of 84. Junior Bryan Peck and freshman Nick Kuhle led all UIU individuals as they carded 85's. Finishing two strokes behind them was Tyler Pederson as he shot an 87 (41-46) for the tournament. Redshirt freshman Troy Northrop shot a 99 (48-51) and Kyle Reisinger turned in a 101 (51-50) for his tournament. With this finish, the Peacocks held on to a sixth place ranking in the region and have been invited to compete in the NCAA Central Regional Tournament held in Findlay, Ohio, May 5-7. This is the first time the Peacock men have been invited as a team to this prestigious tournament. |
