Guetzlaff has long served as an assistant coach at the college level. Mainly as a goalkeeper coach at Mount Mercy College, but most recently at the University of Northern Iowa. He has also served as assistant coach with the Waterloo West H.S. boys' program for five seasons and was the head coach at West this past spring.

Guetzlaff holds an NSCAA Goalkeeping diploma as well as an NSCAA National Diploma
