Peacock Soccer Teams Earn NSCAA Academic Recognition

Upper Iowa University Peacocks

Dec. 11, 2007

Both the women's and men's soccer teams at Upper Iowa University have earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's Team Academic Award for the 2006-07 academic year. The honor comes after both programs posted a team grade point average at or above 3.0 last school year.

The women earned the honor thanks to their 3.09 GPA during the 2006-07 academic year, while the men received the honor after registering a 3.22 GPA last year.

Upper Iowa is one of 73 schools that had both their women's and men's programs recognized. Only three other Northern Sun Conference schools joined the Peacock women's program in earning the honor; MSU Moorhead, Northern State, and Southwest Minnesota State.
