NSCAA 2007 All-Central Region Teams
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has named their Women's Soccer All-Region teams and two Peacocks have made their way onto the list. Jennifer Lee (Jr., Kenosha, Wisc.) earned second team honors and Amy Campbell (So., Cary, Ill.) earned third team honors on the 2007 All-Central Region. Jennifer Lee played in all 21 games for the Peacocks and registered 3 goals and 9 assists on the season. The junior finished 6th in the NSIC in Shots and 3rd in Assists. The Kenosha-native dished out two assists versus Augustana on Sept. 9. Amy Campbell played in all 21 games for the Peacocks and recorded 11 goals and 3 assists on the season. Campbell tallied four game winning goals for the year. The sophomore finished in the top five in four categories in the NSIC; #1 in Shots, #4 in Points, #4 in Goals, Tied for #3 in GW Goals. The Cary-native picked up a hat-trick versus Wayne State Colleege (3 goals) on Oct. 14. The 2007 UIU women's soccer team qualified for postseason play for the second season in a row. The team made the NSIC tournament as the #3 seed this year after posting a 12-8-1 record overall and a 6-2-1 record in the NSIC. In 2006, the team qualified as the #8 seed in the NSIC Tournament. |
